PCB layout CAD softwares?

We are having a tough year next year since we are graduating students next year. In our course, electronics is almost half of our lives. So here’s the thing. Please post here all or any links on where I can download a FREE PCB layout CAD software that supports printer output. The AutoTrax I got runs on DOS and I had a hard time with my printer. It printed 5 blank pages straight. To put it simply, I need a PCB CAD with GUIs. Designing in DOS sucks.

Techtonic: Have not used free software for this recently, but online search listed some free and open-source utiliities. For example, FreePCB was described as running on XP, Linux or Mac using Viewmate for printing. Thanks.
